DIPLOMA IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Tourism Management (DTM) is a 2 year course. The primary objective is to train personnel for the hospitality and tourism industry, to promote tourism and deliver professional, sustainable services to tourists, promote the profitability and sustainability of Uganda’s national tourist resources.

The course is designed to train personnel for the Tourism Industry. It equips students with supervisory and operational skills. The course includes a 3 months industrial attachment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL SUBJECTS

Two best done of geography, biology, history, economics, Entrepreneurship.

RELEVANT SUBJECTS

Three best done of ALL A level subjects

FEES AND FUNDING

A candidate must have attained 5 passes at ”O”. English and Mathematics is a must

Applicants must have:

  • ID of former school / institution
  • Photocopies of certificates/ testimonials
  • Three recent passport photographs
  • Birth Certificate

Candidates will be subjected to an interview

FEES STRUCTURE

Tuition and functional fees for Ugandan students – 882,300/= per semester

Tuition and functional fees for international students – 992,000/=

Development fee – 200,000/= paid once

Welfare fees:

a) Resident students: (Accommodation and meal 750,000/= per semester

b) Non resident students 150,000/= (lunch) a day per semester
