Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute runs academic programs ranging from short Tailor Made, Certificate to Diploma course. Diploma courses are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education and examined by the
Institute in accordance to the law (UHTTI Act 2015).

Diploma Programs

Offered for three (3) and two (2) years respectively

  1. Diploma in Hotel Management, (DHM), three (3) years
  2. Diploma in Tourism Management, (DTM), two (2) years
  3. Diploma in Pastry and Bakery Management,(DPBM),two (2),years

Certificate Programs

Offered for two (2) years in accordance with the national policy

  1. National Certificate in Tour Guiding, (NCTG)
  2. National Certificate in Hotel Operations ,(NCHO)
  3. National Certificate Pastry and Bakery , (NCPB)

Short Courses

Supervisory Certificate Courses

Offered for a period of six months

  • Front Office Operations, (SFO)
  • Food Production , (SFP)
  • Housekeeping Operations, (SHK)
  • Food and Beverages Services, (SFBS)
  • Bakery operations
  • Confectionary operations

In-service Certificate courses

Offered for a period of three – six months
