CERTIFICATE IN PASTRY AND BAKERY

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course runs for 2 years, it equips students with pastry knowledge and skills. After the course they can be bakers at hotels, bakeries and pastry chefs or they can start up their own enterprises.

The course offers intensive practical and theoretical skills and competencies alongside a hands-on approach to the daily operations of pastries. At the end of the course students are subjected to industrial training for three months.

During the course students are attached to crested crane hotel for a 4 weeks training.

REQUIREMENTS

A candidate must have attained 4 passes at ”O”. English is a must

Applicants must have:

  • ID of former school / institution
  • Photocopies of certificates/ testimonials
  • Three recent passport photographs
  • Birth Certificate

FEES STRUCTURE

Tuition and functional fees for Ugandan students – 632,300/= per semester

Tuition and functional fees for international students – 992,000/=

Development fee – 200,000/= paid once

Welfare fees:

a) Resident students: (Accommodation and meal 750,000/= per semester

b) Non resident students 150,000/= (lunch)a day per semester
